Each year this day gets more special to me.I think back of all we have done together; and it has been just an amazing adventure. I couldn't have ever experienced it with a more wonderful, caring, loving man.

The best way to pray

A priest, a minister and a guru sat discussing the best positions for prayer, while a telephone repairman worked nearby.

Kneeling is definitely the best way to pray,' the priest said.

No,' said the minister. 'I get the best results standing with my hands outstretched to Heaven.'

You're both wrong,' the guru said. 'The most effective prayer position is lying down on the floor.'

The repairman couldn't contain himself no longer. 'Hey, fellas,' he interrupted.
'The best prayin' I ever did was when I was hangin' upside down from a telephone pole.'

Have a great week everyone! Don't forget to put some laughter in your life as you go.

Dad and Lad

Every year cub scouts schedules a dad and lad overnight camping trip. So early Saturday morning they sat off on a fun, and adventuress time. I couldn't include all the photos I would have like to, but you get the idea.

Craft Time.

Shooting the BB gun, and archery.

... and of course a few scrapes and bumps.

The Bus Ride

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.'Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter.Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet.' When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.'
The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.'
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

* Watch your thoughts; they become words.
* Watch your words; they become actions.
* Watch your actions; they become habits.
* Watch your habits; they become character.
* Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of
God will not PROTECT you... Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL .

Thought this was good, and wanted to share with all.
How often do you really stop and think about your own actions before you do them? I myself have recently experienced things that really has had me stop and think of my own actions. When you are around people sometimes that are one way and act completely different than what they say they are, it also can reflect on you. I have prayed for the Lord to help me w/ my tongue toward others and help me w/ my actions. If you want to stop and complain about someones actions, you should first stop and look into your own. You truly never know who is watching you, to see if you are who you say you are. How sad would it be to know you could be the reason someone doesn't come to God.(for something as simple as a quarter)
